Description

Jacques warns in the beginning that 'I would like to dedicate this letter mostly to the etching'. It is not said which etching he means, but he stresses that 'one more time: the plate in your possession you must find a good printer. My friend Feder, 4 or 6 rue Versingatorix is in Paris and he can send you to one'. Jacques gives detailed instructions on which leaves should be printed with which color and force and asks Jeanne to put one album to 'Bibliotheque nationale'. Jeanne Bucher as a publisher runs 'Bibliotheque etrangere' publishing house specialising mostly on etchings. At the end of this letter Lipchitz informs her that he made three copies of 'Enlevement de l'Europe' (usually dated by 1938), and that one of them he has with him, and two others are with Andre [de Fels].
