Launching a creative collaboration exploring queer identity between poet Dean Atta and visual artist Ben Connors

Join the launch event of The Black Flamingo Open Studio to see poet Dean Atta and visual artist Ben Connors start their residency collaboration exploring queer identity through poetry and visual art. The Black Flamingo is a metaphor used within Atta’s work to explore identities of queer people of colour.

See performances from Dean Atta, Travis Alabanza and Lasana Shabazz. Explore the studio space and contribute to the conversation with the artists and other visitors. Create a submission for the Black Flamingo zine, full details on how to submit here.
