Uncover a history of framing in this unique tour

Join Tate frames conservator Adrian Moore for this unique opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and learn about °Õ²¹³Ù±ð’s approach to frame conservation in the British Baroque: Power and Illusion exhibition.

Learn how °Õ²¹³Ù±ð’s curatorial and conservation teams work together to negotiate considerations of historical accuracy when preparing artworks for display. The tour will provide an introduction to decorative art history and the development of frame making in Britain, with reference to key works including the ‘Petworth Beauties’ by artist Michael Dahl.
