Earlier British watercolours lent by the Whitworth Institute

The Whitworth Institute, Manchester, possesses, perhaps, the most representative collection of British watercolours outside London, and it was thought that, while the Turner Liber Studiorum Collection was being exhibited at Manchester and displacing some of these watercolours from the walls there, it would be of interest to show some of the earlier British watercolours from the collection in London for three months.

A few additional drawings by Turner, Cotman, Alexander Cozens and Rowlandson were included in the exhibition
