This year’s festival theme, ‘a shared future’, is being shaped by eight local artists from refugee backgrounds. Responding to a series of photographs created by local communities with the support of photojournalist Howard Davies, they will present new work that encourages discussion and a better understanding of the current refugee crisis.
Drop in to Tate Exchange and join the conversation by learning and sharing new creative skills, discussing the issues raised by the work on display, and meeting the artists.
Run by SOLA ARTS, Festival 31 brings together refugees, wider communities, individuals, grassroots, small and larger organisations for a 31 day experience across the whole city every year. This series of workshops and discussions has been programmed in association with Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate, SOLA ARTS.
