We'll be joined by Dr Judith Walsh, lecturer at the University of Liverpool, and Dino Soteriou, lecturer and design specialist at Liverpool Hope University. Biographies
Dr Judith Walsh
Dr Judith Walsh is a lecturer in European 20th century art and design history at the Unviersity of Liverpool. Her PhD examined aesthetic, cultural and societal themes and trends of the post war period including the ‘battle’ between figurative and abstract art. Walsh has taught extensively for Tate Liverpool, National Museums Liverpool and Liverpool Hope University. She is particularly interested in the collaborative nature of artistic practice and the philosophy of aesthetics.
Dino Soteriou
Dino Soteriou is a visual practitioner and educator working in the fields of textiles and print. His work addresses the relationship between various environments, where familiar spaces and routines are made unfamiliar through the use of image manipulation, drawing and collage. Outcomes include fashion and furnishing fabrics to collaborative site specific projects. Soteriou is currently a Professional Tutor in Design at Liverpool Hope University and a member of The Association of Fashion & Textile Courses Committee (FTC).
