Join a guided ritual performance with Kiara Mohamed Amin

Artist and healer Kiara Mohamed Amin explores the healing potential of movement and community.

Thinking about the closing of Tate Liverpool, Mohamed Amin鈥檚 ritual will lead you through ideas of repurposing and transmutation, inviting them to centre compassion and letting go as an act of liberation. The screening of Mohamed Amin鈥檚 film Black Flower at the beginning of the session will be followed by a guided ritual performance facilitating physical and emotional healing through movement.

Each session lasts 40 minutes, doors will close 10 minutes after the start of the session. Yoga mats will be available, but you can bring your own yoga mat if you wish.

Bringing an extra layer of clothing or a blanket is recommended for additional comfort.

Kiara Mohamed Amin is a Somali, queer, trans multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Liverpool. His practice encompasses filmmaking, poetry, painting and artisanal handicraft. His recent works are primarily concerned with addressing topics such as race, gender, sexuality and self-care.
