DoES Liverpool does Threads

Join us for an afternoon of creative activities with DoES Liverpool!

Drop in to this free workshop with and get creative using a range of tools and pre-loved fibres and fabric. DoES Liverpool bring together traditional textile techniques with modern, digital ways of making.

DoES Liverpool artists will be available from 13.00-16.00 to talk to visitors and share tools and techniques that they are using in their maker space. There will also be the chance to join artist-led drop in textile crafts throughout the afternoon including weaving, making sashiko patches and trying out latch hook rug making using materials made at DoES Liverpool.

You can also find DoES Liverpool within our current free display You Get a Car [Everybody Gets a Car]: RESOLVE Collective.

These activities are drop in and are best suited for adults and children over the age of 9 with parental supervision.

is a 100% community-owned and not for profit making, co-working and event space in Liverpool city centre, providing the space and tools for people to work on their ideas, businesses, and hobbies. From their base at Tapestry, only 5 mins walk from Lime Street Station, DoES Liverpool offers access to all sorts of exciting equipment, including laser cutters, CNC machines, 3D printers, knitting and embroidery machines, an electronics/solder station, vinyl and sublimation presses, large format printers, and more, through their membership scheme or 1 day or half day pass.

Tate Liverpool is temporarily located at RIBA North, Mann Island, a short distance (425m) along Liverpool’s iconic waterfront. There is step free access to the main entrance. There is a lift to the first floor gallery, or alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Toilets are located on the first floor
  • The nearest Changing Places toilet is located at the
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the front desk

Additional seating is also available. Please ask a member of staff if you require assistance.
