Experimental Print and Animation

2 May 2020 at 12.00–17.00

Join artist Yuen Ling Chiu for a sustainable print and animation workshop inspired by Dóra Maurer

Taking inspiration from Dóra Maurer’s playful experiments and geometric investigations, explore how contemporary print and image making practices are responding to today’s concerns.

You will use found materials, recycled offcuts, left over inks and scrap papers to build sequential images, monoprints and stop motion animation. This workshop draws on imagery and techniques used in Traces of a Circle and Seven Foldings in the works of Dóra Maurer.

Participants will need to bring a smartphone and charger to this workshop.
