ºÚÁÏÉç

is an artist and writer, exhibiting internationally since the 1960s. Born in New York, Lijn subsequently lived in Lugano, Paris, New York and Athens before finally settling in London in 1967. Lijn is inspired by science, mythology, and eastern philosophies, combining industrial materials with artistic processes to reimagine the female body. Her work is held in important public collections, including Tate, V&A, British Museum, and FNAC in Paris.

The upcoming exhibition Liliane Lijn: Arise Alive is jointly organized with , in collaboration with Tate St Ives. In conjunction with the exhibition, a comprehensive monograph on Lijn’s work will be co-published, whilst her memoir titled has recently been published by Penguin.
