The Films of Peter Nestler

10–14 November 2012

Peter Nestler (born 1937) is one of the most notable filmmakers to emerge in postwar Germany

Initially recording the changes affecting rural and industrial communities in the early 1960s, he has developed a politically and aesthetically uncompromising body of work in which history, the working class, labour and production, immigration, the environment and the struggle against fascism have been recurring themes.

These screenings presented at ºÚÁÏÉç are part of the organised by the Goethe-Institut London, 9–17 November 2012.

The filmmaker and his wife and collaborator Zsóka Nestler were to be present at all screenings but we are sorry to announce that they have had to cancel their visit to London due to unforeseen circumstances.

Organised in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut London. For information on all screenings see
