Explore O’Keeffe’s processes and subject matter in this series of drawing and painting workshops

Led by artist Sheila Wallis this course takes inspiration from our immediate environment – the city, the river, natural and man-made objects. You can create a small portfolio of drawings and paintings using techniques derived from O’Keeffe.

Considering her different approaches to a wide range of subjects, play with scale from the macro to micro, apply photographic techniques such as framing and cropping, and move through the creative stages from still life to abstraction. The course includes two working visits to the Georgia O’Keeffe exhibition. Each session combines practical experimentation with materials, drawing and painting exercises and critical discussion about your work in a supportive group setting.

Some materials are provided, and the course culminates in the opportunity to share your work with friends and family.
