Blind and partially sighted visitors are invited to an audio described tour of Magdalena Abakanowicz: Every Tangle of Thread and Rope

This is an event for blind and partially sighted visitors and access companions.

Please arrive any time between 17.00–17.45 and meet at the Blavatnik Building level 2 concourse for welcome drinks. Once inside the exhibition gallery stools and hearing receivers will be available.

Magdalena Abakanowicz’s sculptures are large felted wall or ceiling hung textile forms, often in bright primary colours.

Gloved touching of two of the sculptures on the tour will be facilitated by our touch tour guides. We will also have some material samples which can be handled without gloves.

All ºÚÁÏÉç entrances are step-free. You can enter via the Turbine Hall and into the Natalie Bell Building on Holland Street, or into the Blavatnik Building on Sumner street.

There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Nathalie Bell buildings. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
  • A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
