Sharon Lockhart will present her newest body of film and photographic work that extends from her relationship with a young Polish woman named Milena and the influential Polish-Jewish pedagogue Janusz Korczak, who celebrated the oft-disregarded voice of the child. Lockhart's research continues her deep artistic engagement with children, which has emerged throughout her practice in such films as Pine Flat 2005 and ±Ê´Ç»å·Éó°ù°ì²¹ 2009. In collaboration with a group of 15 young women from the home where Milena lives together with fellow artists and educators.

Lockhart has organised an ongoing series of summer workshops at a rural retreat, designed to empower the authority of the girls' voices, and emphasise the specific ways they choose to articulate their own perspectives about the world. The project includes photographic and filmic work, the latter of which is currently in progress and will be workshopped with a screening of study footage and presentation by Sharon Lockhart of this ambitious ongoing project.
