Stop the Flow of images and take a moment to reflect and make creative interventions

Stop the Flow! Brings young people and practitioners together to explore, create and discuss photography and social media.

Through a series of workshops devised by and 2nd year BA Photography students, in conjunction with , we will explore how to gain a greater sense of individual and creative autonomy and social responsibility in relation to social media.

Over three days, participants will work with , and to take photographs, print and create a display of work each day. Participants will also take inspiration from some of the experimental approaches on view in the exhibitions and displays at Tate.

Drop in and see what we're up to. Find out what it's like being a photography student. What does it mean to have a critical perspective? What kind of questions are asked and how do we develop a creative voice? ... How do we become creative producers of the future?

This event is programmed by a Tate Exchange Associate.

About the Associates

is a new centre for experimental thinking in photography at London College of Communication. It has emerged from the Photography Programme, long known for its critical and experimental approach to the medium. The open-ended nature of fine art thinking is important to our pedagogy, whether students find their future careers in the arts or media.

has a proactive approach to widening participation, and with Autograph ABP has developed Album, a photography project aimed at young people studying creative subjects in partner schools and colleges.

is a charity that works internationally in photography and film, cultural identity, race, representation and human rights. Access to Autograph ABP’s archive and exhibitions programme informs the research and exploration of photography for young people participating in the Album project each year.
