Interactive Film Installation: Sore Throat

Experience Sore Throat (2023), a 20-minute interactive film installation from Davide Bugarin and Angel Cohn Castle exploring how sound permeating through walls has impacted queer people and spaces in the Philippines.

Workshop: Craft Club with London LGBTQ+ Community Centre

Get crafty with the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre, an intersectional community centre based in Bankside. Take part in collaborative games inspired by club culture and make your own Bowery fashion collage.

RING RING … It’s the Leigh Bowery Hotline! Watch artist Leigh Bowery through the eyes of those who knew him best — his friends, family, and fellow club kids. Directors Robert Fox and Josh Quinton bring together Leigh’s friends and fellow club kids to revisit some of Bowery’s most outrageous moments and reflect on his short but extraordinary life.

Sequins, Paint and Mayhem: Nicola Bowery Rainbird on Leigh Bowery

Join Nicola Rainbird, Leigh Bowery’s collaborator, friend and wife, as she shares memories of his extraordinary life and work.

Nicola will reflect upon the significance of Bowery’s work, their memories of the time, and their work together.

Workshop: DJ Workshops with Boudica (Fully booked)

Blavatnik Building, Level 5

16.30–18.30 Hosted by Samantha Togni

19.00–21.00 Hosted by Ikonika

Aimed at beginners, learn to DJ with the Boudica team. You’ll learn the basics of DJ techniques including practical skills and an introduction to music theory, hosted by industry experts. The workshops are in collaboration with Start From Scratch, an initiative by Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta supporting underrepresented groups.

Workshop: Patchwork Making with Marblehead (Fully booked)

Uniqlo Tate Shop, Natalie Bell Building, Level 1

18.00–18.30, 19.00–19.30, 20.00–20.30 and 21.00–21.30

Create bright and bold patchwork designs using recycled fabric, buttons and embroidery techniques. Inspired by Bowery’s theatrical approach to DIY fashion and hosted by illustrator Marleigh from Marblehead. Feel free to bring along any old clothes, tote bags, or fabric scraps you'd like to personalise or incorporate into your own unique piece!

Admission to ºÚÁÏÉç Lates is free and unticketed.

Most events are drop-in but some require a free or paid ticket, see the full programme for details.

ºÚÁÏÉç's main entrance is via the Turbine Hall on Holland Street. There are automatic sliding doors and a ramp down to the entrance.

There are lifts to every floor of the Blavatnik and Natalie Bell buildings. Stairs are also available.

  • Fully accessible toilets are located on every floor on the concourses.
  • A quiet room is available to use in the Natalie Bell Building on Level 4.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the Ticket desks.
  • Coloured overlays and magnifiers will be available at workshops.

ºÚÁÏÉç Lates will feel different to a regular day at the gallery, it may be busier than usual and there will be amplified music in the Turbine Hall, Corner Bar and Terrace Bar.
