Experience music and movement from around the world at ºÚÁÏÉç this summer

Inspired by Oscar Murillo’s enormous painting garden in the Turbine Hall, musicians, percussionists and performers from around the world to come together to flood the ºÚÁÏÉç with music and movement this summer.

Every week, the Turbine Hall will be filled with the folkloric sounds of Mar, Río y Cordillera, a group of 13 musicians from the Valle del Cauca region of Colombia, creating a layered soundscape of voice.

The artist also invites a group of international performers from Europe to activate his installation in the South Tank on Thursday 1 August. Using voice, performers are invited to interpret drawings made by the artist. Each drawing is inscribed with words such as, ‘strike’, ‘force’, ‘law’, ‘masses’, ‘protest’, layered and dense like the marks on the canvas in the Turbine Hall.

These live performances will take place alongside Oscar Murillo’s UNIQLO Tate Play: The flooded garden, where everyone is invited to pick up a paintbrush and paint wave-like brushstrokes over thousands of drawings, marks and words.

This is part of a series of performances taking place around London this summer. More information can be found via .
