Dear Pepi,

Just in the process of getting my thoughts lined up – comparisons between the ideal of beauty and romanticism on the one hand and the fate of the ideal of beauty under the influence of hereditary guilt and anxiety on the other. At the moment, unfortunately, I’m blighted by a state of exhaustion again and I’m not getting anywhere.

Got a letter from Dr Loeb and a transcript of his submission, which is brilliantly formulated.

Now he’s hoping to see more documentation.

How are you? Have the winter doldrums lifted? I’m hoping for the best.

Sincerely,

Erich
