'My dear friend,
Thank you for your kind postcards. Yes, I envy you but only in a disinterested way.
How much I understand you when you say that these wonders look as if they are easily made, not all of them, however.
But to spontaneously and easily make something that can brave centuries it seems to me that you need to have a fire in your stomach or to possess such a dose of humanity, which doubles as clear judgment and will without fault, can lead to such heights, but you can see how it's becoming difficult in one way or the other.
I've been here for a few days, three to be exact and I'm so happy to be back that I didn't move from here. A little stunned though...
And you, where are you? Towards which shores are you directing your next steps? Are you still attracted by Africa?
Tell me all about it, will we see you soon in Paris?
I'm looking forward to shaking hands, in the meantime I'm sending you all my best wishes.
