Description

Andrei writes from Koktebel in Crimea. He informs that has to leave earlier because of his illness (probably, malaria which is mentioned in the letters from his father Mikhail). He is unhappy that Berthe has not sent him 200 francs which means he will have to return 'to my place' - probably, to Bolshevo labour commune (half prison, half labour commune for young criminals). He asks Berthe to come, saying that in November he will be able to take more annual leave, that they can live all together at his father's flat. He passes a greeting to Jacques Lipchitz from Valentin Parnakh, who knows him personally, as well as Marc Chagall. Andrei signs as 'Andre Loustic [means 'joker']', his nick name.
