Description

This letter was kept in a folder of correspondence between Jacques Lipchitz and Jeanne Bucher and probably was enclosed to one of the letters from Bucher to Lipchitz. On the first line Bucher mentions 'a letter from 20 December which accompanied this list'. Most likely, it is a letter dated 20 December 1940 from Jacques Lipchitz to Bliard. In this letter Bucher writes that she is sending to Bliard two copies of the book [?], one for Ducuing. She also informs him that she is sending to Berthe Lipchitz 'a p.[olish?] poem, which is not dedicated to her, evidently, but there is no trouble for me'. She also mentions common friends, such as [Pierre] Dubaut and Raynal and tells him that 'I managed to find only one copy of Cah[iers] d'Ast[?] with an article on you, I don't know who wrote it'.
