Description

Text titled 'De l'orientation'. The old title was 'La vie est a vous'. The text starts with the phrase: 'De tout temps dieux et hommes s'acharnaient sur Promethee'. It ends with a quote from Juan Gris: '"Donnez-moi une branche d'appui et je chanterai comme un oiseau" and a long sentence by Lipchitz: "Appuyons nous sur la vie, et chanterez nos plaintes et nos espoirs, nos degats et nos triomphes pour la plus grande gloire de l'Homme'. The whole text treat the predestination of an artist and the meaning of art, with examples of some classical and modern painters.
