Description
In this letter, Marie Seton refers to Bob and Herta's [Robert Liebknecht, the painter, and his wife] kindness in Paris and gives her impressions of travelling through Germany, including destruction of German cities. Seton mentions the high standards she encountered in her hotel in Prague comments favourably on Prague and the regime there. She also makes favourable comments on Czech Communists, mentioning a Czech interest in Negro art and an invitation issued to Paul Robeson to visit Czechoslovakia. Seton informs Moody that she has asked the Czech cultural attache in London to see his work. In addition Seton mentions a proposed visit to Belgrade and makes general comments on politics and democracy in Czechoslovakia.
