Description

This letter begins with a large illuminated branching 'D' for 'Dears', and has some decorative cut out elements to it. There is also the occasional Spanish word used throughout the text.
Sent from Nancy Cunard's house in France, John Banting writes that he will be returning soon to England, as his parents are unwell. He also asks if he may be able to spend a week or so in the Spender's house in the country to finish some work for his upcoming exhibition in November. He describes where he is currently staying and that he has been completing household chores with Nancy Cunard and a refugee from Spain.
