Items available online are the personal papers of Klaus Hinrichsen. During 1940-41 Hinrichsen was interned in Hutchinson Internment Camp, Isle of Man. The collection documents his time there comprising of camp newspapers, poems, photographs, articles and an identification badge. Also included are his writings on the artist Kurt Schwitters who was also interned in Hutchinson Internment Camp and became a close friend.

Description
Folder of emigre artists' catalogues and related material, including publications from the Leger Galleries 1941 and 1941; for 'Modern German Prints & Drawings' 1949 at the ICA; Hampstead Artists Council 1950 and 1953. Later catalogues and press articles cover Jack Bilbo, Hermann Fechenbach, Hans Feibusch, Henryk Gotlib, John Heartfield, Hans Unger, Katerina Wilczynski. It also contains a printed item: 'Papers Concerning the Treatment of German Nationals in Germany, 1938-39'; the first page of 'The Camp' No. 10 (1940), newspaper of the Hutchinson Internment Camp; and a list of artists showing at the Artists' Cafe, December 1940 . Also includes notes and correspondence.
