Correspondence and small art works from Paul Nash and general correspondence to Eileen Agar

1935–87

  • Email

Available online are Paul Nash's letters to Eileen Agar covering the period of their affair from shortly after they met in 1935 until 1944, two years before Nash's death. These letters shed light on their relationship and artistic influence on each other, at a time when Agar was becoming increasingly involved in the Surrealist movement. Several small works of art by Nash, which were sent to Agar over the course of their relationship, have also been digitised. Details of the remainder of the collection can be found on the archive catalogue.
